Fat Dissolving
What is Fat Dissolving and how does it work?
Fat dissolving, is a safe, quick treatment aimed at reducing localised fat deposits on specific areas of the body, that do not respond to diet or increased physical exercise. The injections consist of a solution derived from plant compounds that features deoxycholic acid, a bile acid crucial for fat digestion. The injections destabilise the fat cells by destroying their membranes, causing them to liquify, where they are removed by the lymphatic system over a 3-week period.
Please note: Whilst fat dissolving injections are effective for body contouring, they are not a replacement treatment for weight loss.

What to expect
The number of treatments required varies depending on the size of the area. 1-3 treatments is usually recommended for small areas, such as the chin, while 3-8 treatments is usually recommended for larger areas such as the abdomen or thighs. Treatments are spaced at intervals of 3-5 weeks.
The level of discomfort experienced during fat dissolving can vary from person to person. Some individuals may feel only minor discomfort, while others may feel more. To minimise discomfort a topical numbing cream can be applied, and the addition of lidocaine added to the solution.
Treatment time: Approximately 30 - 45 minutes
